Residents of four Michigan communities will soon notice a new name in the countryside–Endeavor Ag & Energy LLP.

While the name is new, the friendly faces and expertise behind the Endeavor brand are familiar.
Endeavor Ag & Energy was created to establish an innovative era in local customer service -- made possible through the purchase of CHS Inc. assets in Hamilton, Holland, Traverse City and Wayland. The sale was finalized effective September 16, 2020.

Endeavor is a limited liability partnership formed by two large cooperatives both of which already have a strong presence in Michigan.  The new company will deliver agronomy products and services, propane gas, grain marketing and animal nutrition products to customers in Allegan, Ottawa, Grand Traverse and surrounding counties.

The partners behind this joint venture are Ceres Solutions and Co-Alliance. Both co-ops were interested in building and growing a very strong presence in the local marketplace. “Together, accessing the assets and the talents of the CHS Hamilton employees, we are able to expand our retail operations and serve farmers throughout Michigan,” said Jeff Troike, CEO of Ceres Solutions. “With Endeavor, we add capabilities and scale to drive growth for our businesses, and for the benefit of member-farmers and local communities,” added Kevin Still, CEO of Co-Alliance.

Troike and Still agree that the enthusiasm behind Endeavor Ag & Energy demonstrates the continued relevance and vitality of the agricultural cooperative model. As a joint venture between cooperatives, local eligible farmers will be invited to join as shareholding members.  Approved applicants will become members in both Ceres Solutions and a parent co-op of Co-Alliance.  As a competitive business, Endeavor will also serve non-member customers.

Under the new brand, almost 100 Endeavor employees are excited about the opportunity to fulfill their collective mission to serve and supply local customers’ agricultural and energy needs.  New website and Facebook connections will be announced soon.  Employee cell and location telephone numbers remain unchanged. Customers will be informed as new e-mail or mobile methods of contact with your familiar Endeavor team members are established.

Ceres Solutions is a 100% farmer-owned cooperative headquartered in Crawfordsville, Indiana, that serves customers across 37 counties in Indiana and Michigan.

Co-Alliance LLP is a member-owned supply and marketing partnership based in Avon, Indiana, serving farmers and customers across Indiana, Ohio, Michigan and Illinois.

And now, Endeavor Ag & Energy is the Michigan-based joint venture ready to serve you!
