Co-Alliance Cooperative Assists with Clinton County Public Safety Training Complex

Feb 23, 2021

In a continuous effort to advocate for farm safety and train those who may play a key role in rural rescues, Co-Alliance Cooperative is proud to support the Clinton County Public Safety Training Complex with a $3,000 donation. The Clinton County EMA, fire departments, and law enforcement have been diligently working on a detailed plan to bring training needs to public safety employees. The complex will bring this to the forefront of the county.

Grain Bin Safety Week takes place this week, February 21 – 27, 2021, and is an annual observance that promotes grain bin safety on farms and commercial grain-handling facilities.
Grain operators, farmers and employees are encouraged to help reduce the number of preventable injuries and deaths associated with grain handling and storage, through education and awareness of hazards and safe work practices.

“The goal of the complex is to bring high-level training and education to the public safety personnel that will be obtainable locally and leave our resources with the community,” said Matt Stidham with the Clinton County Public Safety Training Complex Committee. “Thanks to the support of Co-Alliance we have accomplished our first stage of our construction process.”

“Co-Alliance has had a presence in Clinton County for many years. Our facilities include (Michigantown Agronomy, Reagan Agronomy, Frankfort Fairground Grain, & Scircleville Grain/Fertilizer Hub, and Mulberry Agronomy) and many employees that call Clinton County home,” said Michael Williams, Co-Alliance Safety and Risk Management Coordinator.

“We are proud to support the Clinton County Training Complex so that our emergency responders have the training opportunities to better protect the people and property of Clinton County,” Williams added.
The complex will be permanently located at the Clinton County Fairgrounds.
